Patrick Fugit Fan was formerly known as Enamoured. I chose the word enamour because it is generally how we feel about stars for which we make websites for--we are enamoured by them. I think many of the people who have had the priviledge to see Patrick's work can say that they were enamoured by his performances.

Eventually I decided to change the name of the website, mainly because it is easier these days to find fansites by a generic name than by a creative one. Though I really did love the creativity behind the name Enamoured, functionality in a website should always come first so the name switch was made. I think this name invites all who call themselves fans of Patrick to join in the website with whatever they'd like to contribute.

Here is the face behind the keyboard. Some basic information about me, what I do in my spare time, and how this website came to be.

I first saw Patrick in the movie Saved! my freshman semester at college. Of course my first reaction was "oh, who's this cute guy" but then I sort of just forgot about it. The movie is good but his part wasn't the most spectacular that I've seen him. It wasn't that he was forgettable as much as I had obsessions with other celebrities already and wasn't in the market for getting more.

Anyhow, after a bit I would be reunited again with Patrick as I began to use his face as a PB (played by) for a young Remus Lupin in an online Harry Potter role-playing game that I was in. For the part of Remus he fit well because of his hair and his earnest face. After I picked him as the PB I had to get pictures of him and the more I looked at him the more I wanted to see his other movies and find out who he really was.

I've always wanted to do a fansite but just haven't found a celebrity who didn't already have a million to his/her name. Patrick, surprisingly, didn't have any. He's been around for a few years so I was a bit surprised to find this out and when my friend mentioned that there should be a fansite for him to find all the stuff in one place, it was on that whim that I decided to start the site. I just said OK and got into it right away.

The reason I wanted a site for Patrick was first to provide a place for his fans to collect, of course, but also to give him more credit than what he seems to be getting. Maybe with this site more people will stumble upon him and watch his movies and see how great of an actor and how fun of a person he really is.
